Retaining wall made simple with precast concrete
Compared to conventional construction methods, Fortrac Panel system solutions save you construction time through elimination of costly foundations, the rapid construction of the geogrid-reinforced soil body and the simple installation of prefabricated concrete elements. Depending on the requirements, the precast concrete elements can actively contribute to the overall stability of the supporting structure, such as an abutment, or can be attached to the reinforced earth body at a later time. In active construction, the facing elements are actively loaded by the earth pressure and are both formwork and visible elements at the same time. In the passive system, the geogrid holds the entire earth pressure, and the concrete facing has a purely visual and protective function. A major advantage of the passive construction method is that, in difficult ground conditions, you can wait for possible subsidence and deformation and install the concrete facing with a time delay in relation to the supporting structure. Our engineers will be pleased to support you in designing the back-anchored retaining walls.
